As a newly retired woman, she wondered how she would spend life outside of the school building. She knew she wanted to help her community and make the most of her time. Her love of respecting the land and appreciating its beauty led her to lavender, but she has always had a place in her heart for children. As an educator, Pat worked with students to improve their reading abilities. She believes in the power of words. A good book can make a lifelong impact. Her nonprofit organization, Growing Resiliency, supports students who may not know the power of knowledge by tutoring children in need.
