Resilient Lavender

Lavender has long been recognized as a natural herb for relaxation and has had aromatic value for many centuries. With origins tracing back to the challenging growing conditions of the Mediterranean, lavender has continually shown its resilient nature. With nurturing and support, it has also adapted to the harsh growing conditions of Northeast Wisconsin.

The Varieties of Lavender We Grow

Folgate

The compact nature of Folgate makes this lavender beautiful on the farm. It has a blue-lavender hue to its flowers and grey-green foliage. This English lavender brings a wonderful smell to the farm and is great for culinary uses.

Melissa

Melissa lavender grows upright and keeps a compact shape. This lavender dons white flowers that turn a delicate pink tone as they open. It’s easy to be a Melissa lover as it produces a strong lavender smell and blooms longer than most lavender varieties.

Miss Katherine

This English lavender blooms beautiful light pink flowers that fill the air with a dreamy aroma. Miss Katherine is a fantastic lavender for drying because of its fragrant nature.

Royal Velvet

Royal Velvet lavender holds its lovely blue-purple color for an extended time. Its flowers grow 3 to 4 inches and fill the air with their sweet aroma. This lavender is great for cutting to use in fresh or dried bundles.

Violet Intrigue

This lavender dons a rich shade of purple on its blossoms. Like Miss Katherine, this English lavender is aromatic which makes it perfect for our oil and other lavender products.

Lavender Mission Field is the perfect home for our plants.

Lavender requires proper drainage which our hills naturally provide.

We view our lavender as a representation of the children we serve through Growing Resiliency. Every child deserves the love and nurturing they need to manage daily over saturation, like our lavender. Whether its frustration with school, consistent hunger, or not having a home to return to, a child needs to have the proper environment to grow through the tough times. Growing Resiliency seeks to provide the best growing environment so children grow to be resilient like lavender.
